The Luc Tuymans tour includes fifteen stops that address both the artist’s process and his subjects—the Holocaust, colonization, and the post-9/11 world. You will hear Luc Tuymans and the exhibition curators speak about the artist’s focus on the nature of history and memory using sources for his images from newspapers, books, TV, the Internet, film, and photographs.
The Wendy and Emery Reves Collection smARTphone Tour
The smARTphone tour of the Wendy and Emery Reves Collection provides new interpretive materials for this unique collection of 1,400 works installed in a re-creation of the couple’s Mediterranean villa on the Museum’s third level. SmARTphone users can view archival photos of celebrated guests to the couple’s home, including Salvador Dalí and Winston Churchill, as well as see the villa as it appeared when first owned by Coco Chanel. Users can also hear Wendy Reves speak about the couple’s collecting and her fond memories of vacations at the villa.
