Arturo’s Art & Me

Selected Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.; please select one class day per month.

For a 3–5 year old and a favorite grown-up! Adults and young children will work together to look at works of art, read a related story in the galleries, and do an art-making activity in the studio. Taught by Museum education staff. Class size limited to fifteen pairs.

Toddler Art

For 2 and 3 year olds and a favorite grown-up. We will look at a work of art in the Museum galleries and then play with our new friends in Arturo’s Nest, the Museum’s kid-friendly space. Taught by Museum education staff. Class size is limited to twelve pairs.

Homeschool Class

Fourth Thursday of the month with some exceptions, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Dallas Museum of Art’s homeschool classes offer an interactive Museum experience for families with children ages 6–12. Parents and children learn about works of art together in the galleries, participate in hands-on activities as a family, and create a work of art together in the studio. During the program, parents learn techniques and skills for creating their own educational experiences in the gallery.

Puppet-Making Workshop
Saturday, August 28, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Join guest artist Jill Foley and learn how to create puppets from everyday objects. This workshop is for children ages 3 and up and their families.
 

 
Center for Creative Connections Tech Lab

Photography Workshop for Families
Saturday, July 24, 1:00–3:30 p.m., Tech Lab

Create fun photographs, sun prints, and images inspired by summer. This class is for children ages 6 and up and a favorite adult. Included in general admission to the Museum. Space is limited; e-mail nstutzman@DallasMuseumofArt.org to register. 

What do you get when you cross art objects with technology? 

The Tech Lab is a space in the Center for Creative Connections where you can blog about, tag, and research objects in the Dallas Museum of Art’s collections. It is also a space to experiment with current technologies and create original work during special classes, workshops, and programs.
