Visiting Artists

Meet and work with our visiting artists to celebrate creativity and the artistic process. Each featured artist will participate in a variety of public programs on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., providing opportunities for conversation and hands-on art-making projects.

Make It/Take It

First Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 p.m., Included in general admission to the Museum
Try a new material or technique to expand your artistic imagination. Beginners and experts welcome.

Tech Lab Open Lab

Second Thursdays, 6:30–8:30 p.m., Included in general admission to the Museum
Open Lab is an opportunity to experiment with new media and technology during a drop-in, hands-on program.

DIY@DMA

Third Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., Included in general admission to the Museum
Stop by this month for an art-inspired do-it-yourself project. Drop-ins welcome. Pre-registration preferred; call 214-922-1311.
 

Drawing from the Galleries

Fourth Thursday, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Included in general admission to the Museum
Draw or sketch your inspirations and subject matter while learning about works of art in the Museum's galleries.
 

Creative Process: Inside Out

Fifth Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Included in general admission to the Museum
Get inside the mind of guest artists as they discuss their creative process and show samples of their materials.
